Be prepared when the prosecutors and regulators target
your financial institution. Federal law enforcement is focusing on how financial institutions do business, with whom they
do business and how they are organized to prevent illegal transactions from occuring. The government is making financial
institutions "quasi-enforcement agencies" by requiring investigation of transactions, customers, and subsequent reporting
back to law enforcement that is both accurate and thorough. Quite a daunting and expensive task to overcome; but the cost
in proper prevention will far outweigh the cost of defense!! Do not fall into the trap of relying on well meaning but untrained
personnel.....it is not worth the risk. OCC Bulletin OCC 2004-50 states in part "Under 12 CFR 21.21, banks must establish
and maintain adequate internal controls, independent testing, responsible personnel, and training to comply with the BSA."
Are your former bank tellers who may now be your compliance investigators or those Washington bureaucrats or the accounting
firm you may have hired, but whom have no real investigative experience, qualified as "responsible personnel"? You should
also carefully check the backgrounds of consultants resumes for facts not fiction.
Our consultants have assisted financial
institutions in projects identifying suspicious transactions, terrorist financing, corruption, structuring, MSB activity,
money laundering and fraud; and the subsequent preparation and filing of SARS. Combine that with the financial investigative
background and you have a professional team member with a proven background, that will protect your institution and can withstand
the scrutiny of regulators and courts alike.
Proper investigation and preparation of the SARS are essential to all
AML procedures and we are the ones who can perform. Put Ronin Resources on your team and get ahead of the regulators.
