Steven R. Gabelsberg had an outstanding 24 year investigative and management career with the IRS Criminal Investigation Division. He began his career after attaining a B.S. Degree in Accounting and retired as a Special Agent in January 1999.

Steven was a long term undercover agent, conducted many major conspiracy, narcotics, and financial crime investigations. His investigations involved extensive analysis of financial records tracing foreign and domestic transactions. Steven has also developed an expertise in computer applications for investigative purposes. He was also promoted to supervisor of both a group of agents in Houston and charged with supervising a multi-agency High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force where many international drug investigations were prosecuted.

Steven was further promoted to a Regional Analyst in charge of the IRS undercover program for the Mid States area. He also was assigned to supervise an IRS Basic Training Academy course at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. During the last part of Steven's career he was detailed to the Special Investigative Techniques Branch at IRS headquarters in Washington D.C. He worked closely with the Department of Justice and IRS Chief Counsel in the analysis of sensitive undercover operations throughout the United States and overseas. Steven has also assisted private counsel in analyzing financial crime cases and participated in both civil and criminal defense work. Steven is licensed as a private investigator in Oklahoma CLEET #03PIA2666.
